John Robinson That One with Tullers in 1850 Who Died in Tunbridge, Vermont-Our John Robinson
Nadene Goldfoot
1. Descendants of JOHN ROBINSON, possible father
**** 1 [1] JOHN ROBINSON, possible father b: April 12, 1798 in Scipio, Cayuga, New York d: May 20, 1870 in Tunbridge, Orange, Vermont Age at death: 72 . +Rosa
*2nd Wife of [1] JOHN ROBINSON, possible father:

New York is a possible birth place since Abiathar slipped and said he was born there in the 1900 census. Then he died in 1904. Dementia? Family forgetting where? Vermont and New York are connected by history.
The first John I've selected who married Eliza Fowler goes like this:
Abiathar to John, to Edward R and Eunice Rix; to Edward Edwin and Susanna Rathbone; to Edward and Martha Robinson; to Francis and Elizabeth Lawton; to Edward and Margaret Hull Hall both of England; who landed in Newport, Rhode Island.....
Abiathar did have Rix in his 1st son's name.
The other is:
2. Descendants of JOHN ROBINSON

The 2nd John who married Elvira Waterman goes like this: John to
Joel and Rachel Stevens of Calais, VT; to Capt. Samuel and Mary of
Calais; to Josiah and Anna Barton; to William and Elizabeth Upham;
to William and Elizabeth Cutter of England and Mass. to William and
Margaret Beach of Canterbury, Kent, England born in 1615, died in
Massachusetts
There have been two John Robinsons I have considered who was the 51 year old man living with Alonzo Tuller's family that included Julia Ann Tuller age 15 who married our Abiathar Smith Robinson in Tunbridge, Orange, Vermont in 1852. He was given the age of 51 on the 1850 census and was the farmer in this family group in Royalton, Vermont while Alonzo was noted as a stone worker. The census never identified the relationship. That would mean John was born in 1799 in Vermont. He could be Abiathar Smith Robinson's father. Why he, a farmer, is living with Alonzo Tuller, a stone mason, but later, a farmer, is unknown, but he's there in 1850.
By February 29, 1852, Abiathar Smith Robinson is marrying Alonzo Tuller's daughter, Julia Ann in Tunbridge, Orange, Vermont, which is right next door to Royalton, Windsor, Vermont.
I found Abiathar and Julia on 1870 census in Wenona, Illinois, born in Vermont and next door to Albert Tuller, brother of Julia. They were also in Wenona, Illinois in 1880. On the 1900 census, Abiathar said he was born in New York. Abiathar died in Wenona in 1904. Whoever was speaking to the census-taker didn't know; maybe one of the children. Abiathar died 4 years later, so he may not have been well.
Grandpa Frank Hugh Robinson with son Edward Kenneth R.Interesting is that my grandfather named my uncle Edward Kenneth Robinson. Did he know of this history or was it just his inclination to do so?
On the other hand, looking at the family buried in Tunbridge in the Hunt Cemetery finds many of one family of James Robinson with wife, Mary Bicknell.

Over 13 Durkees, so many in Hunt Cemetery..a few in another. Julia Ann Robinson nee Tuller's mother, Asenath was a Durkee. No wonder they married in Tunbridge.
So often I want to shout; "Will the real father of Abiathar please stand up?" Has the line ended with us? We need other Robinsons DNA tested. That's all I can say. We're looking for a Y haplogroup of R-L21 or upgraded to R-FT 111213.

Abiathar Smith Robinson's Father Remains Unknown-One Last Possibility
Nadene Goldfoot
Abiathar and 9th child Frank Hugh b; June 21, 1870 Sitting on a bale of hayAbiathar's children were: Edward Rix, Edgar Clyde or Clayton, Abiathar W, Nellie Elizabeth, Emma "Hattie", John C, Julia, William S, Frank Hugh, Minnie J and Arthur Roy Robinson.
Abiathar belonging to the 11th child, Arthur Roy Robinon's daughter, Leola Marie's son, Tom, an earlier version of Abiathar with darker hair. That's a cousin of ours who has turned up through genealogy.Another is the descendant of Abiathar's 4th child, Nellie Elizabeth Robinson. She had married Daniel C. McCullem and she was born Aug 15, 1857 in Upper Canada, going along with the knowledge that Abiathar and Julia Ann had moved there. Daniel was son of John McCullem father of Daniel C. McCullem, father of Philip John McCullem who had a daughter, Shirley Rose McCullem and Sandra is the daughter of Shirley and is our cousin.
At age 88 1/2, I still have not found my great grandfather's father. I have found clues but they are a dead end. Abiathar Smith Robinson, b: December 7, 1829, is not on any birth certificate or piece of paper on ancestry.com. A distant relative, Holly K. Waterman b: 1951-d:2014, married to Jed Betts, living in Vermont scoured the countryside looking for it and didn't find it. She was librarian at the college as I remember, and had worked with me a lot.
What I do know for sure is that he married Julia Ann Tuller in Tunbridge, Orange, Vermont on February 29, 1852. Also, there was a John Robinson, 51 years old, living with Julia's family on the 1850 census who helped her father, Alonzo Charles Tuller/ar farm. There were other Robinsons in Tunbridge as well.
6/19/10: I noted back in 2010 this note: On 1850 census was a John Robinson age 51 living with them. Was he the father of Abaithar Smith Robinson? Don't know who he was. He was another with the very common name of John who was impossible to trace. He was 51 and living with the Tullers, and had no wife which would have identified him on some census later.
Great grandson who did the DNA testing and wife1850 was the first year that both men and women were listed on the census. Before that, it was just the men.
I did find the Tullers and Abiathar being friends. They lived next door to each other on occasion that I found on census information.
I chose Amos Robinson of Royalton,Windsor, Vermont as Abiathar's father as they were a prominent family of Royalton. He was born December 28, 1797 in Royalton. He was on the census from 1800 onward. This Amos was son of another Amos Robinson of Royalton b: September 25, 1767 in Lebanon, New London, CT. Amos of Royalton had a nice farm/ranch and Abiathar had horses, too. Abiathar was strict religiously because one day Frank Hugh had forgotten that his horse was in a field, and somebody put the bull in the field which could kill the horse. Frank Hugh wanted to get his horse out of the field but it was Sunday, and Abiathar wouldn't let him do it. The horse got killed and our grandfather, Frank Hugh ran away from home, never to return. It might make him happy-that my grandson, Dustin, is now a veterinarian.
However, I've gone back and checked out the census again, and Abiathar is not on Amos's census or anyone else's. He finally showed up at age 41 on the August 11, 1870 census of Wenona, Illinois with Julia and their children. They were next door to Albert Tuller, Julia's brother. He was also on the June 7, 1880 Wenona, Illinois census at age 52 as A. Roberson with Julia and same children, 10 years older. Was he listed as Roberson or Robertson earlier? Could be. Abiathar died October 1904 in Wenona, Illinois. He had remarried in 1896 to Mary Jane Deffenbaugh Walters, probably a neighbor, in Wenona. Julia had died in 1887 in Wenona.
The one good thing we have is the Y haplogroup/haplotype of Abiathar through 1st cousin Kenneth Robinson, son of my mother, Mildred Elizabeth Robinson's brother, Edward Kenneth Robinson, which has been labeled as R-L21 from the original label of R1b1a2.a1a1b4..and now, with the upgraded testing on February 26, 2020, of the BIG Y TEST, is labeled as R-FT111213, which was paid for by the Irish Fitzpatrick clan.org. who found that Ken and Dyer were a part of their group. So, going way back, we have Irish roots, not Wales as Grandpa Frank Hugh Robinson had told us. At least he thought it was Wales.
The first names of Abiathar (high priest during King David's time) and Amos are from the Old Testament. Their religion during this period was into the Old Testament, using such names for their children. They also start with A, putting them first on any list.
Update: 4/19/2023
I just hooked up Abiathar to a John Robinson of Calais, Washington, Vermont. They are a direct line from each other, 36.7 miles apart. The only problem with this is that John is on both places 1850 census, but then 1850 has 365 days, and he could have moved during then to work for Tuller.

Asa Hutchinson To Run For President-Past Governor of Arkansas, And We Might Be Related Through Hutchinson
Nadene Goldfoot
Probably a pretty common surname, Hutchinson is on our Robinson tree. We have reams and reams of Hutchinsons. Asa Hutchinson might be a part of it. He will be 73 in December. Hutchinson is 666th most common name in USA. Approximately 132,172 people bear this surname.
William Asa Hutchinson II (/ˈeɪsə/, AY-sə; born December 3, 1950) is an American attorney, businessman, and politician who served as the 46th governor of Arkansas from 2015 to 2023. A member of the Republican Party, he was the U.S. attorney for the Fort Smith-based Western District of Arkansas from 1982 to 1985, U.S. representative for Arkansas's 3rd congressional district from 1997 to 2001, administrator of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration from 2001 to 2003, and the first undersecretary for border and transportation security at the United States Department of Homeland Security from 2003 to 2005.[1]
In 2006, Hutchinson was the Republican nominee for governor of Arkansas, but lost to Democratic nominee Mike Beebe, the outgoing state attorney general. In 2014, Hutchinson was again the Republican nominee for governor, this time defeating the Democratic nominee, U.S. Representative Mike Ross. He was reelected in 2018 with nearly two-thirds of the vote. Due to term limits, he was barred from seeking reelection in 2022, and was succeeded by Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
From 2020 to 2021, Hutchinson served as vice chair of the National Governors Association. He succeeded Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York as chair of the organization for 2021–2022. Hutchinson is a Republican candidate for president of the United States in 2024.
Early life and legal career[edit]
Hutchinson was born in Bentonville, Arkansas, the son of Coral Virginia (Mount) Hutchinson (1912–1998) and John Malcolm Hutchinson Sr. (1907–1991).[2] He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Bob Jones University in South Carolina in 1972 and received his J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1975. He practiced law in Fort Smith for 21 years and handled more than 100 jury trials.
In 1982, President Ronald Reagan appointed Hutchinson U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas. At age 31, Hutchinson was the nation's youngest U.S. Attorney. He made national headlines after successfully prosecuting The Covenant, The Sword, and The Arm of the Lord (CSA), a white supremacist organization founded by polygamist James Ellison. The CSA forced a three-day armed standoff with local, state, and federal law enforcement. As U.S. Attorney, Hutchinson put on a flak jacket and personally negotiated a peaceful conclusion to the standoff.[3]

I personally match 1 male and 3 females of DNA; with the man a 3rd to 5th cousin. The
others are 4th cousins and all 4 show connection to my father's side.(????)
My brother matches 3 of my 4 as 4th cousins which includes the male.
Our male cousin on mother's side matched one male as 4th cousin on chromosome 15 with
with 10.50cMs. We did not match the same male.
There is the possibility that a Northern Vermont Hutchinson had
married a Southern Bell and stayed in the South, but that's a rare
possibility, though it has happened.
