Our Haplogroup R1b1b2 (M269) Latest Info

From ISOGG's latest information is that our haplogroup is seen the most in Western Europe but with notable frequency in SW Asia. This started about 4,000 to 8,000 years ago in SW Asia and spread into Europe from there. Our DYS #393 is a 12, which denotes the Asian beginnings, I believe more than a 13 would, so maybe we have an older connection closer to the 8,000 yrs. I'm just guessing, here.

Oral history is that our ancestor came over not on the Mayflower but the ship after that, so those ancestors must have come from England or the United Kingdom or possibly even Holland at that point. That's Western Europe.
