Familytree Robinson Ydna Test R1b1b2

Our Robinson line tested as haplogroup R1b1b2. The results came in today from our 12 allele test. This group of people were prominent on the Iberian peninsula (Portugal and Spain) about 20,000 to 30,000 years ago and remain the most prevalent subclade for R1b Europeans of today.

When the ice age receded about 14,000 years ago, this group moved north and started to repopulate areas through Europe and into Great Britain, where my ancestors came from.

It is thought that one of the markers (M269) originated in Central Ais/South central Siberia. It is considered widespread in Europe throughout the Paleolithic aready before the last Ice Age.

So far, 16,739 people in England have been tested to be R1b and we had 2 exact matches. In the United Kingdom, 7,606 were tested and we had 3 exact matches. I was sent one name of an exact match. Since our one find had a 37 allele test, I'll have to upgrade ours one of these days to see if we remain a match. So far, there is a 70.47 % chance that we are related 24 generations ago.
